Honors Experience #5 Bearcat Legacies

In the Honors History Course, Bearcat Legacies, we were given the opportunity to study a faculty emeritus from the University with a group partner and produce a project on their career and life. Through this experience History 3097 has been central in my development as a writer, historian and as a person. Specifically, in the way it was able to challenge my ability to be concise and creative as a writer. I have realized that the knowledge I gain from my experience is more valuable than being perfect. And I have a new perspective and appreciation for the study of history. To add to this, I thoroughly enjoyed the class because it required me to not just take in new information, but to produce new insights. Through this I was able to come out of my comfort zone and improve in my work. I am also grateful to Professor Fritz and Gino for challenging me academically and personally, as well as being supportive and compassionate. I will miss this class, but I know that I will never stop enjoying the process of investigating and writing in my professional and personal interests.

Bellow, I have included the web document which includes the project that I created with my group partner, James. It is organized by "exhibits" we created that show different parts of the life of Grace Meacham. Professor Grace Meacham is Professor Emeritus from the college of Fashion Design.
